ONE COUNTY.
DOZENS OF
markets.

Nobody searches for "Los Angeles." They search their own neighborhood. The county is a few dozen separate markets that happen to share a freeway system, each with its own main street. A Silver Lake café competes with the block. A Brand Boulevard law office competes with the building. A Burbank post house competes with the other two names in the producer's email. We build for all of them from one studio in Los Angeles, and this page covers each part of the map.

One page covers the whole county on purpose. A separate page for a city is worth building only when there are real facts about that market to put on it. Without them, you get thin pages that Google reads once and never returns to. We would rather write one page with substance than forty that differ only in the city name, and we build client sites by the same rule.

WHERE WE WORK

43 communities, one page

Central Los Angeles

  • Downtown
  • Hollywood
  • West Hollywood
  • Koreatown
  • Silver Lake
  • Echo Park
  • Los Feliz
  • Atwater Village
  • Boyle Heights

A search for a dentist in Los Angeles puts you up against every dentist in a city of four million. The same search with Koreatown attached puts you up against a few dozen. So a Central LA site gets built around the smaller field: pages named for the neighborhoods you actually serve, local schema on each one, copy that mentions the streets your customers already know.

Our portfolio includes LA businesses in crowded categories, among them a concierge physical therapist and a roofing estimate tool. Both are on the portfolio page. Scroll them before you decide anything.

Northeast Los Angeles

  • Highland Park
  • Eagle Rock
  • Mount Washington
  • Glassell Park

The storefronts run along York Boulevard, Figueroa Street, and Colorado Boulevard, often with several of the same trade on one stretch. We have no study data for this part of the city yet, so the pitch is the plain one: a site that loads fast on a phone, says what you do, where, for whom, then gives the reader one obvious next step.

Glendale and the Foothills

  • Glendale
  • Montrose
  • La Crescenta
  • La Cañada Flintridge
  • Sunland
  • Tujunga

This is the part of the county we know best. Our portfolio includes Glendale businesses: GT Tax & Accounting, a CPA firm on Brand Boulevard, plus Katherine O Aesthetics, a nurse injector's boutique on San Fernando Road. In September 2026 we counted every business Google lists here in 56 common categories. Glendale has the widest website gap of the five foothill areas we checked: 37% of its 3,174 listings link to no real site. La Crescenta-Montrose is at 35%, La Cañada Flintridge at 31%.

Beauty plus auto are the weakest groups in all three, while Montrose is better covered than downtown Glendale. The three pages below carry the figures by category, neighborhood, and ZIP code, plus what a site changes for a salon, a garage, or a contractor in each.

Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley

  • Pasadena
  • South Pasadena
  • San Marino
  • Altadena
  • Arcadia
  • Sierra Madre
  • Monrovia
  • Temple City
  • San Gabriel
  • Alhambra

Pasadena is the best-covered city in our foothill count: 73% of the 2,848 businesses Google lists there in 56 common categories link to a real site, which still leaves 757 that do not. The gap sits in beauty at 39%, in auto at 36%, and in North Central at 44% against 15% in Old Pasadena. The Pasadena page has the full table, with a caveat on one inflated HVAC figure.

The rest of the valley, from South Pasadena down Huntington Drive through San Marino, Arcadia, and Monrovia, is outside the study but inside our service area. The build is the same: a page for each service you sell, named for the city it serves.

Burbank and the East Valley

  • Burbank
  • Toluca Lake
  • Studio City
  • Sherman Oaks
  • North Hollywood
  • Universal City
  • Valley Village

Burbank has 2,199 businesses on Google in the categories we counted, and 651 of them, or 30%, list no real website. Auto is the weakest group, the only one of the five areas where it edges out beauty: 51% of auto repair listings have nothing to click. Magnolia Park is the best-covered neighborhood in the data at 20%.

The Media District, home to the Disney and Warner Bros. lots, means many Burbank businesses sell to studios as well as to neighbors. The Burbank page covers both kinds of site. West along Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, and North Hollywood are outside the count but inside the area we serve.

Westside and the South Bay

  • Santa Monica
  • Beverly Hills
  • Culver City
  • El Segundo
  • Manhattan Beach
  • Torrance
  • Long Beach

Santa Monica, Culver City, the beach cities, Torrance, and Long Beach are outside the foothill count but well inside where we work. Our portfolio includes a Long Beach shredding company that serves 25 cities from LAX to Mission Viejo, built to point every page at one action. It is on the portfolio page.

The approach here is the one described below: the city name plus the specialty, each on its own page, rather than a bare search term the whole county is competing for.

WHAT WE DO HERE.

Web Design

A custom site built around your part of Los Angeles and your actual customers, not a template with your logo dropped in. From $2,000 for a twelve-page base, with most clients adding pages at $100 each, designed at phone width first and live in 7 to 10 business days.

Local SEO

A monthly plan for the map results: Google Business Profile, reviews, new pages, citations, aimed at the searches your neighborhood actually makes. The technical layer ships with every build.

Google Business Profile

Just the map listing, kept complete and active: the smaller step for a shop or practice whose neighborhood doesn't yet call for the full plan.

WHAT WE
COUNTED.

Our one piece of first-party data on the county so far. In September 2026 we checked the website link on 8,970 Google business listings in 56 everyday categories across Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, La Crescenta-Montrose, and La Cañada Flintridge.

2,842 of them, or 32%, link to no real website: an empty field, or an Instagram page or a booking app standing in for a site. 1,213 of those businesses have ten or more Google reviews, so being established is no protection.

The full count, by city, category, and neighborhood: nearly one in three foothill businesses lists no website on Google.

HOW BUSINESSES
WIN ONLINE IN
los angeles.

Every agency in the country wants Los Angeles clients, so ranking for a bare term like web design is a long game. What works faster is owning your neighborhood plus your niche. An Echo Park bakery does not need to outrank a national chain. It needs to be the obvious answer when someone nearby searches for it.

That is why the sites we build for LA clients are structured by area. A dentist with patients in Koreatown, Silver Lake, and Glendale gets a page for each, with its own local markup, because those are three different searches. The county is too big to win in one query, and small enough to win one neighborhood at a time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

How much does web design cost in Los Angeles?

Websites start at $2,000. That base covers 12 pages, 10 of your choice plus a Privacy Policy and an Accessibility Statement, with extra pages at $100 each. Fill out the short form and you get a detailed quote within 2 business days, no meeting required first.

Does Smyle Digital do SEO for Los Angeles businesses?

Yes. Technical SEO is built into every website we build: structured data markup, XML sitemaps, per-page titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, and performance tuning. For businesses that want to compete in the map results month after month, we also offer a monthly Local SEO plan, quoted per business once we have checked whether SEO would pay for itself in your market, with Google Ads management included. Businesses not ready for that can start with Google Business Profile management on its own, at $299 a month.

Do you have a separate page for my city?

No, on purpose. This page covers every city we serve, from the beach to the foothills, because one page with real detail does more for you than a stack of near-identical ones. If your city is not named above, we still work there. Anywhere in Southern California is in range.

Do you meet with Los Angeles clients in person?

Yes. We start with a short form or a phone call rather than a meeting, so you get a price before anyone books time on your calendar. From there, calls happen over video or in person, whichever you prefer. We are based here, so seeing your space and how customers move through it often sharpens the design brief.

Do you build bilingual websites?

Yes. Many businesses in Glendale, Koreatown, and the San Gabriel Valley serve customers in Armenian, Korean, Spanish, or Chinese alongside English. We build each language version as its own set of pages with the correct hreflang markup, so every version ranks on its own instead of competing with the others.

My business serves Los Angeles but is based somewhere else. Can it still rank here?

Yes. Google handles service-area businesses well when the site is honest about it: a substantive page for the area you serve, correct schema markup, no fake addresses. That combination is what we build.
