The base build is twelve pages: ten of your choosing, plus a Privacy Policy and an Accessibility Statement. Most clients add pages at $100 each, and the quote lists every one. Half is due to start, half at launch, with the site live in 7 to 10 business days once we have your answers plus your content.

That covers design, development, mobile-responsive layouts, on-page SEO that both Google and AI answer engines can parse, page copy drafted for your review, imagery where you don't have your own, three rounds of revisions. Send photographs of your own work if you have them; real photos beat anything we can source.

The quote is itemized, so you know what each page and add-on costs before you commit. For where that number sits in the market, read our guide to what a small business website costs in 2026.

HOW IT
GETS BUILT.

It starts with structure

Before anything visual, we lay out which pages exist, what each one is for, and how a visitor gets from landing to calling. That structure doubles as the search architecture: the pages Google ranks are the same pages the design is organized around, so we settle it first.

The code

Every site is written as static pages in Astro: HTML, CSS, and as little JavaScript as the design needs. There is no WordPress install, no page builder, and no plugin stack to patch. Less to break, less to secure, less to slow down. If you need to edit content yourself, we add a lightweight CMS on top rather than rebuilding the site around one.

Phones first

Layouts start at phone width, where most of your visitors are, then grow to tablet and desktop. Before launch, every build is checked on a real iPhone in Safari, where tap targets and scroll behavior show their problems. Android and tablet sizes are checked in Chrome's device emulation. We tell you which testing is which.

Speed

Each page gets a performance budget: how much JavaScript, how heavy the images, how quickly it has to respond on a simulated 4G connection. We hand the site over with Core Web Vitals in the green. If it ships otherwise, we retest and fix it on our dime. How it performs years later depends on your hosting plus what gets added after handoff, so the build makes staying fast the easy path.

One action per page

Design decisions run through a plain question: what should a visitor do on this page? Each page gets one primary action, the phone number stays reachable on mobile, and forms ask for the minimum needed to quote the job. The remaining questions belong in a follow-up email, not between your customer and the submit button.

Measurement

GA4 and Search Console are configured at launch. Goal tracking covers calls plus form fills, so from the first week you can see what the site produces, not just how many people looked at it.

AFTER
LAUNCH.

We don't charge a monthly fee to keep the site online. Two costs continue, both to third parties on accounts in your name: the domain, renewed yearly through your registrar, and hosting, billed by the host. Many of our builds run on free or low-cost hosting tiers, and we tell you which yours needs before you commit.

You own the design and the code outright. The domain and hosting are rented: in your name, but only for as long as you keep paying for them. That's true of every website on the internet, and we'd rather you hear it from us.

Updates are billed by the hour. You email what you want changed, we estimate the time, you approve it, we do it. No retainer, no minimum, and the person who built the site is the person making the change. Some clients need an hour a month; plenty go a year without calling.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

  • How long does a web design project take?

Most sites go live in 7 to 10 business days once we have your answers and your content. The clock depends on you as much as us: the delay is almost always waiting on photos, service details, or feedback. Rush delivery is available as an add-on starting at $1,000.

  • Do you use WordPress?

No. We build static sites with Astro, a modern framework that produces faster, more secure pages than a WordPress install. If you need to edit content yourself, we add a lightweight CMS like Decap or Keystatic on top, which gives you editing without the plugin stack.

  • What's included in the build?

The $2,000 base covers twelve pages: ten of your choice, plus a Privacy Policy and an Accessibility Statement. Design, development, mobile-responsive layouts, on-page SEO, page copy drafted for your review, imagery where you need it, three rounds of revisions. If you have your own photography or copy, we use it.

  • What if I need more than twelve pages?

Most clients do. Extra pages are $100 each, listed in your quote up front rather than negotiated later.

  • Are there monthly fees after launch?

Not from us, and there is no retainer. The only costs that continue are the domain, paid to your registrar, plus hosting, paid to your host, both on accounts in your name. Changes after launch are billed by the hour, with an estimate first.

  • What exactly do I own when the project is done?

The design and the source code, outright. No license fees, no lock-in. Your domain and hosting are a different thing: registered in your name but rented, not owned. Let either lapse and the site goes down, no matter who wrote the code. Anything third-party that carries its own license or fee, like a premium font or a booking tool, is called out in your quote before we use it.

  • Do you test on real devices?

On iOS, yes. Every build gets checked on real iPhone hardware in Safari, where tap target sizing, font rendering, and scroll behavior actually show their problems. Android and tablet layouts are verified in Chrome device emulation. If your traffic skews heavily Android, tell us and we will test on a physical device before launch.

  • Who designs the logo?

Not us. Logo drawing goes to a third party we work with: we write the brief from what you tell us, manage the revisions, then judge what comes back before building the site around it. It costs $250 as an add-on, the third-party work included, and you deal with one company throughout. If you need a full brand system with naming and guidelines, hire a branding firm; we will say the same thing on a call.
